Brian Fimbres is a documentarian based out of Omaha, NE and a member of the Three Affiliated Tribes in North Dakota. His work primarily focuses on Native American culture and history. Brian worked as the Cinematographer for documentaries Dr. Susan La Flesche Picotte, about the life of the first Native American to earn a medical degree, and Chief Standing Bear's Journey to Statuary Hall, which followed the design and installment of Chief Standing Bear’s statue in the Capitol Building. He was also Director of Photography for One on the Thunder Trail, a recounting of a Santee Sioux draftee’s experiences serving in the Vietnam War and his return to his tribal land and indigenous identity.
